Autoimmune Conditions

How to Naturally Treat Autoimmune Diseases

There are many forms of autoimmune disease including Rheumatoid Arthritis, Psoriatic Arthritis, Ulcerative Cholitis, Lupus, Crohn’s disease, Hashimoto's thyroiditis, etc. These disorders all have the same characteristics of ones immune system being hyperactive. Sometimes this can just affect a certain organ or area (hashimotos), or sometimes much more widespread (rheumatoid arthritis).

In the United States autoimmune diseases are said to cost more than 100 billion dollars per year! With this amount of money spent, many people don’t even get relief, or are equally sickened by the drugs that they must take.

What if I told you there was a simpler, cheaper, and natural way to deal with many people who suffer from autoimmune conditions? You can naturally treat autoimmune disease.

While every autoimmune condition is unique, there are many “linking” characteristics that can be contributing factors.

What is an autoimmune disease?

An autoimmune disease is what happens when ones immune system starts to attack itself. Your immune system is an important part of your body and is needed to fight off invading pathogens, and help keep you from becoming ill. Without a functioning immune system we would have to live in a bubble. If our immune system starts to work too much though then an autoimmune disease can occur, where your immune system is overactive when it shouldn’t be, and starts to attack ones body when it shouldn’t.

Why is treating autoimmune disease so tricky for many?

One thing to remember in autoimmune disease, as well as in most disorders of the body, it is rarely only caused by one thing.  I have seen cases where someone has been able to put their disorder is full remission by doing a detox protocol for heavy metal toxicity. I have also seen cases where full remission has been achieved by dietary changes.  I have also seen cases where full remission has occurred from treating underlying fungal, bacterial, parasitic, or other microbial infections.

In most cases though all of these factors contribute and one needs to be evaluated and treated for all aspects to get the best and longest lasting outcome. Without doing this many people only get minimal

Conventional Medical Treatment for autoimmune disease:

The traditional treatment for autoimmune disorders is to put you immune suppressing drugs, which try to depress ones immune system, such as Methylprednisolone. Side effects from taking this though can include: hyperglycemia, decreased ability to fight infections, glaucoma, psychosis, and osteoporosis, among other things. Many of the other prescriptions used have similar, if not worse side effects.
